Our model was validated on a corpus of 14,800 orthopedic consultation recordings across six Italian hospital departments. It achieves a word error rate (WER) of 2.7% on standard orthopedic vocabulary and 5.2% on rare sub-specialty terms such as Schatzker tibial plateau classification, Pipkin femoral head fractures, and Outerbridge cartilage grading. Laterality and anatomical level are correctly assigned in 98.1% of cases.

Yes. SmartVisit extracts and structures radiological findings dictated in-session and maps them to validated scoring tools: Kellgren–Lawrence (KL) grade for OA, Cobb angle and Risser stage for scoliosis, Tönnis grade for hip dysplasia, AOFAS score for ankle/foot, and modified Merle d'Aubigné–Postel score for hip arthroplasty outcomes. DICOM-compliant PACS integration is available on the annual plan.

Yes. The template editor supports embedding validated PRO instruments including KOOS, HOOS, Oxford Hip Score (OHS), Oxford Knee Score (OKS), DASH, QuickDASH, VAS, NPRS, and SF-12. Scores are calculated automatically from dictated values and stored longitudinally for follow-up comparison.

All data is processed on ISO 27001-certified infrastructure within the EU (Frankfurt and Dublin regions). Audio is encrypted with AES-256 and automatically deleted within 30 days of report generation. SmartVisit completed a formal Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) under GDPR Article 35 in February 2025, with no high-residual risks identified.

Yes — 14 days of full access, no credit card required. During the trial you can process up to 60 visits and access all 16 orthopedic templates, including PACS integration in preview mode. At the end of the trial period, choose a plan or your account is suspended with no charges and your data is retained for 30 days.

SmartVisit runs on iOS 16+ and Android 13+, plus any modern browser on desktop and iPad. Offline recording is supported on mobile with automatic encrypted sync on reconnection. Desktop mode supports USB foot-pedal input for hands-free dictation during post-operative wound checks and ward rounds.

From the Profile section in the app. Deletion triggers an immediate purge of all personal and clinical data from our servers and backup replicas within 72 hours, in compliance with GDPR Article 17 (right to erasure). A deletion confirmation certificate is emailed upon completion.
